F.A.Q.
Who?
I have a turntable and a nice record collection, mostly LP's from the 60's & early 70's.
What?
My aim is to make rare stuff (in glorious mono or sometimes stereo) publicly available again with the best possible sound quality.
Requests?
Generally, no. I select my projects very critically. Vinyl condition is everything. I tend not to work with records that are in less than pristine condition.
Donations?
Get outta here!

Here's something good from the Stoned Archives.
And please remember to fill your profile, kids.
Thanks Prof! Look forward to comparing this rip with the "other" one.
Happy New Year!

Fixed. Thanks!
Fantastic! Thanks! The word is out.
WOAH AWESOME THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Welcome back, was about to put your picture on a milk carton. Great album and a great rip, THANKS!
Nice to see you back!
Many thanks... Happy New Year to you and your family...

You forgot to add, "before commenting on ANY SQ". But since here isn't there, I'll assume it'll be safe to do here.
Rather than SQ, though (unable to do so), I'll do the album itself: I'm no Syd nut, but I really wish they had used more of his songs here. Roger hadn't fully honed his songwriting craft yet and it shows. That said, still some gems to find here like "Remember A Day" and "Jugband Blues" (Syd's classic "farewell song"). I also mention these two deliberately because of their wonky stereo imaging (vocals one channel, instrumental the other) which necessitates the mono.
So many thanks for this rip, prof! Have a nice Nieuwjaar (as I think you'd say in yer language).

Sounds different and great! Thanks a million!
Thanks so much Prof.
Thank you, wonderful mono stuff. Happy New Year!

Thank you! Welcome back! One of my all-time favorites, and I do enjoy both the mono and stereo mixes for different reasons. Your work on this is truly appreciated.
Vic - I think you are getting those two songs mixed up with some of the songs on "Piper". "Jugband" and "Remember" are both basically mono on the stereo album, with the backing mixed center and only one bounced channel of vocals that occasionally moves from speaker to speaker. It would almost seem like those songs were reduced to a 2-track master for mixing, possibly to bypass Abbey Road compatibility issues, but I've never seen any actual confirmation of that.
Didn't even know there was a mono version of this! Definitely looking forward to hearing this one. Thanks for posting.
Thank you very much!
Welcome again!!!
Thanks
Welcome back !
I appreciate your dedication.
I appreciate your dedication.
Thanks Prof!!! Happy New Year!!! A great new listening experience. I appreciate your work and listen to it all the time!
Cheers! Brad Goodman
Up until now (two days ago, actually) I disliked this album.
Thanks to this terrific rip of the much superior mono mix I'm able to finally enjoy this music without distractions.
Funny how a bad presentation, (a lousy stereo mix) can spoil one's listening experience.
Thank you so much, Prof. As usual, you delivered the goods.
Hi Prof., haven't visited the blog in a while, I will be checking it more regularly. Keep on rippin!
Thanks for another gem, Prof!
WOW...this is a seriously long-awaited blessing from the Good Prof...my goodness.
I too have been waiting for years for even a decent copy; I've had a boot for some of those years, but it was a poor drop and even cut off the very beginning of LTBML. Ouch!
To say i'm grateful is a SERIOUS understatement, but once again, THANK YOU PROF. STONED :D
omg...it's been far too long since I've visited...like xmas in june...better get to d/l'ing!! SO EFFING GREAT
oh yes...I got caught up in the joy and forgot to mention the "cd quality" link takes one to an info page, but i'll be dipped if I can find any d/l linkeys...it's probably something really, really stupid on my part, but I'm STOKED the hi rez works just fine!!
I would luv a cd tho, for the car. Mono is kinda especially good for cars, and since I drive a LOT I'm crossing fongers a new link can be put up.
thanks agin', good Prof. All the best to you and yours, and to all the other PS fans like me! :)
This is the correct link for the CD-Quality version:

thank ye kindly, Anonymous! :)
This kicks butt in all the right ways. I know there is no request line, but hearing this album this way is totally inspiring to plant a seed for some long lost The 13th Floor Elevators. Thanks again regardless
This is amazing, many thank's.
Thank you for this!
Thank you so, so, very much! A real 3-D effect, even in mono; this recording is as clear as a bell. Even if they officially release a mono version of this album, they won't get any better than this, unless original mastering notes remain. Such a gem.
Prof. Stoned for president!
Great blog !!!
