    You forgot to add, "before commenting on ANY SQ". But since here isn't there, I'll assume it'll be safe to do here.

    Rather than SQ, though (unable to do so), I'll do the album itself: I'm no Syd nut, but I really wish they had used more of his songs here. Roger hadn't fully honed his songwriting craft yet and it shows. That said, still some gems to find here like "Remember A Day" and "Jugband Blues" (Syd's classic "farewell song"). I also mention these two deliberately because of their wonky stereo imaging (vocals one channel, instrumental the other) which necessitates the mono.

    So many thanks for this rip, prof! Have a nice Nieuwjaar (as I think you'd say in yer language).

    Vic - I think you are getting those two songs mixed up with some of the songs on "Piper". "Jugband" and "Remember" are both basically mono on the stereo album, with the backing mixed center and only one bounced channel of vocals that occasionally moves from speaker to speaker. It would almost seem like those songs were reduced to a 2-track master for mixing, possibly to bypass Abbey Road compatibility issues, but I've never seen any actual confirmation of that.

    Up until now (two days ago, actually) I disliked this album.
    Thanks to this terrific rip of the much superior mono mix I'm able to finally enjoy this music without distractions.
    Funny how a bad presentation, (a lousy stereo mix) can spoil one's listening experience.

    WOW...this is a seriously long-awaited blessing from the Good Prof...my goodness.

    I too have been waiting for years for even a decent copy; I've had a boot for some of those years, but it was a poor drop and even cut off the very beginning of LTBML. Ouch!

    To say i'm grateful is a SERIOUS understatement, but once again, THANK YOU PROF. STONED :D

    omg...it's been far too long since I've visited...like xmas in june...better get to d/l'ing!! SO EFFING GREAT

    oh yes...I got caught up in the joy and forgot to mention the "cd quality" link takes one to an info page, but i'll be dipped if I can find any d/l linkeys...it's probably something really, really stupid on my part, but I'm STOKED the hi rez works just fine!!

    I would luv a cd tho, for the car. Mono is kinda especially good for cars, and since I drive a LOT I'm crossing fongers a new link can be put up.

    The first Pink Floyd album that I ever heard, my brother brought it home in 68 when I was 14. Been in love with the group ever since. Never heard it in mono so this will give it a different perspective. I have downloaded from you before and I did thank you. So I THANK YOU for this one. You do great work and we the listeners do appreciate it. MONO is really a distinct taste and I have to say that some things do sound better , or maybe because in the 60's , the singles I got were mono and so I am used to it. Again, thank you.

    Your digital version of the 1968 UK vinyl mono ASOS has by far the best sound quality that I have come across. Thank you for the effort you put into the digital transformation of this wonderfully different, mono mix of the ASOS album!

    Primarily I'm a fan of PF sans Syd and find myself having to listen to this period as if it were a totally different band, which, in effect, it was.
